It's always important to take notes from your client. They'll let you know how they want the script to be read. If they want it upbeat and happy, or if they want it slow and sincere. After you know how they want the script you'll be able to adjust your voice to read properly. If it's for a toy, you want to sound happy and excited to be playing with it! If it's for a cause, then you may need to sound more serious and sensitive when you're recording.
